OUR FOUNDER
MiJu Official was founded by goldsmith and designer Michelle Berkhout.
From an early age, Michelle was drawn to creativity and craftsmanship. That passion eventually led her across the world to Thailand, where she discovered the art of jewelry making and began her journey into the world of fine jewelry design.
Today, Michelle remains at the heart of MiJu. Every piece is personally designed by her and brought to life together with a team of skilled goldsmiths who share the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Combining traditional goldsmithing techniques with modern design, Michelle creates jewelry that is both timeless and deeply personal.
After taking the leap to leave behind the security of a full-time career and pursue her dream, Michelle opened MiJu's first boutique and workshop in Breda. What began as a small idea has grown into a destination where clients can create engagement rings, wedding bands and fine jewelry that reflect their own stories.
Her vision has always remained the same: to create meaningful jewelry that can be worn, loved and passed down for generations.
